The SIU-C offers the best and most precise protection solution for transformers and electrical machinery in high, medium, and low voltage distribution systems. It is a voltage and frequency protection relay also utilized for load shedding, decoupling, and Loss of Mains (Islanding) protection. The SIU-C is powered by a universal 24-230 VDC/AC auxiliary power supply.

A standout feature is its ability to measure up to 1,000V when connected directly to a low voltage line. For voltage measurement, it features 5 voltage channels for conventional use.

To enable communication, the relays are equipped with a micro USB front port for local access, while various rear connection ports and protocols allow for remote communication:

• RS485 Port: Supports IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 61850, Modbus RTU, or DNP3.0 Serial protocols.

• RJ45 Port: Supports Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3.0 TCP/IP, or IEC 60870-5-104 + Web Server + SNTP protocols.

The SIU-C provides 11 configurable AC/DC inputs and 5 configurable AC/DC outputs. Thanks to its internal RTC (Real Time Clock), it maintains date and time, and its non-volatile RAM memory stores up to 3,072 events and Disturbance Fault Records (DFR).

Through the proprietary SICom Communication Program, Fanox allows for the downloading and saving of oscillography records in COMTRADE format (IEEE C37.111-1991).
